World Cup boom or gloom for dating couples

Has the World Cup that just started a few days caused you and your partner to drift apart? Or will this lovely game nurture your relationship since both of you have the same passion?

I don't watch soccer. If I watch, I comment about everything like the colour of the player's jersey, the big big advertisers that are getting so much media coverage, the audience who dress up just because of the match.. In fact, it’s almost everything but the game itself.. On a contrary, my partner is a HUGE fan of soccer. We had our first little fight over the last weekend when he wanted to rush dinner just to catch the game, but other than that, I (think) I’m fine with losing a little attention of his to the little soccer ball that unites the nation together. Since it is just once in every 4 years. Right?

And so I ask, is it common? Does that happens to you as well?

64 matches over 25 days, that's almost 100 hours. My only solution is either I live with it, or, start to appreciate soccer. Well, I have already asked him out to watch soccer this coming Friday. Guess it's pretty obvious which solution I have chosen.

Or probably the world cup craze has inspired you to do something interesting for your wedding just like this video montage… http://vimeo.com/5080961
